Why we keep Shabbath

1/4/20

We keep the 7th day Shabbath. We do this not because of 7th day Adventism of which we are not.   Usually when an unbeliever or those who are unlearned or even those of the religion of the false Messiah discover our Shabbath observance, they usually have two conclusions.  In their minds we are either 7th day Adventists or that we are Jews.  But in either instance, those of the religion of the antiMessiah will always claim that to keep Shabbath is “old covenant” and that it no longer applies to new testament believers.

But those who have had their eyes opened to the truth of the matter realize that this is the great deception of the satan to keep those who believe such heresies in their sins.  Again, such is the religion of the antiMessiah and for the most part, the religion of christianity are not only falling all over themselves in it but are the chief propagators of it!  If anyone, even maybe your minister, were to tell you that you no longer have to keep the 7th day Shabbath, then they are literally telling you that it is ok to sin. You have their permission to be a practicing sinner!

We keep the 7th day Shabbath simply because Yahweh Elohim commands us to do so and NOWHERE ANYWHERE in the scriptures can a person find that Yahweh ever stopped commanding us to do so.  (Exodus 20:8-11) We keep Shabbath because our Creator tells us to! We should just be able to stop right there and not explain further. What is wrong with just obeying Yahweh? Seems as if many in our day try so hard to find ways or reasons not to simply do as the Elohim says and yet still say they are followers. Question is, just who is the Elohim that they claim to follow? It is the lawless one, the man of sin whom they claim did away with the Torah law. Simply put…. “their rock is just not our Rock!” (Deuteronomy 32:31)

We keep the 7th day Shabbath because we have entered into the new covenant with Yahweh Elohim.  No longer do we in our day keep the old covenant, but we do keep the old covenant renewed!  Under the renewed covenant Yahweh by His set apart spirit (kodesh ruach) writes the Torah in our hearts and minds.  (Jeremiah 31:31-34; Hebrews 8:6-11)

We keep the 7th day Shabbath because it is a perpetual (never ending) covenant between Yahweh and His people forever.  (Exodus 31:12-18)

We keep the 7th day Shabbath because it is the 7th day of the week.  The farthest one could get away from the 7th day is to keep the 1st day for the two are not one day apart but 7 days apart from one another.  How far away from obeying the true Elohim are you?

We keep the 7th day Shabbath because it was instituted from the beginning (Genesis 2:1-3) and although included in the 10 commandments at Sinai and the regiving of the Torah unto the nation of Israel, (Exodus 20: 8-11) it was established as a special covenant before there was ever a physical Israelite in existence.  It is and always has been a special and separate covenant unto itself.  It is at the heart of the everlasting covenant.  A stranger (Gentile or non-Israelite) could also enter into the covenant, keep Passover, the Torah and Shabbath (Notice the mentioning of the stranger in Exodus 20:8-11 with the Shabbath command) and be considered as a home born Israelite. (Exodus 12:43-49; Numbers 15:15) Under the renewed covenant, as was with the Old Covenant, there is no difference between a Jew, Israelite, Gentile, Greek, man or woman.  Yahweh’s people are spiritual Israelites no matter what race or gender they are of.  (Ephesians 2:11-19; Galatians 3:28; Romans 11)

We keep the 7th day Shabbath because we need a day of rest.  It is a proven scientific fact that mankind needs one day in 7 to rest his body and mind.
http://lifestylelaboratory.com/articles/proof-positive/rest.html  Yahweh knew this need from the beginning.  But not just any one day out of 7 of which we cannot on our own pick and choose, for Yahweh Elohim established which of the 7 days was to be the day of rest and He chose the 7th day.  He not only chose it, but He set it apart from the rest of the days of the week for His set apart people.

We keep the 7th day Shabbath because it was and still is a sign between Yahweh and His people so that they would always know who the true Elohim is (as opposed to the false god deity) and that they would know that they are His people. (as opposed to those who are not but think they are) Exodus 31:13,17; Ezekiel 20:12, 20; Matthew 7:21-23)

We keep the 7th day Shabbath because it is a memorial unto Yahweh of His creation.  The Shabbath is as the deed or the seal of ownership over the creation.  A seal is a sign of ownership or authority over something.  Every single person will have a seal or sign or a mark showing who it is that they belong to.

The true Shabbath seal must contain three things:

Yahweh is His name.  (King James version uses the term “LORD” which means Baal)  Elohim the Creator and Maker is His title.  The territory of His ownership, authority and jurisdiction is the Heavens (shamayim), the earth, the sea and all that in them is.  You will notice all three things of the deed mentioned in the Shabbath command of Exodus 20:11.  That seal by His spirit along with Torah is placed as a mark in the foreheads of true believers. Have you received the mark of Yahweh in your forehead? (Ezekiel 9:4; Revelation 7:3; 9:4; 14:1; 22:4) The unfaithful will receive a mark in their foreheads as well, as we have all read of the mark of the beast in Revelation chapter 13 as well as the judgment upon those who do not receive the seal of Yahweh in their foreheads. (Revelation 9:4)  If the true Name of the Elohim, sealed by His spirit with the 7th day Shabbath is spiritual mark upon the faithful, can you not see then the possible spiritual mark upon the unfaithful?????  Hard words?  We will one day see if such could be so.

We keep the 7th day Shabbath because Abraham kept it long before Moses and the regiving of Torah and again before there was the nation of Israel.  (Genesis 26:5)  Do a study of Genesis 26:5 and you’ll see that Abraham kept the 10 commandments of which is found the Shabbath. He kept the Torah of which is found the Shabbath. He kept guard over the truth of Yahweh. There is much to be learned from that verse. A confirmation to those who keep Torah and Shabbath and yet a witness against those who do not.

Abraham is the father of the faithful, is he not?  (Galatians 3:7) The faithful will be faithful unto Yahweh. To have faith is much greater than to just believe, but to be faithful unto the one in whom you believe.  Keeping Torah and Shabbath does not save a man, but a man being saved will keep Torah and Shabbath. They cannot help themselves for it has been written in their minds and in their foreheads and always before their thoughts.

We keep the 7th day Shabbath for it is the great and final endtime declarative message given in scripture pointing mankind to the one true Elohim.  (Revelation 14:6,7 compare with Exodus 20:11)

We keep the 7th day Shabbath because it was kept from the beginning, was kept during the old covenant times, was kept during the days of Messiah and the Apostles in the renewed covenant times, (Luke 4:16, 31;13:10; Acts 13:14, 42-44; 16:13; 17:2; 18:4)  it was prophesied to be kept after Messiah’s execution and resurrection (Matthew 24:20; Hebrews chapter 4) and on into the Kingdom and eternity. (Isaiah 66:22,23)  What may I ask would ever make us exempt in our times?  After all, Yahshua Messiah and Yahweh does not change.  (Hebrews 13:8; Malachi 3:6) Unlike the teachings of Christianity, grace does not give us a license or a permit to sin. (Jude 1:4)

We keep the 7th day Shabbath as it is to be taught as in need of being restored in the last days, for it has been stolen away by the enemy and lost unto most in our time. It is the ordinance that has been changed as the breach of contract has occurred to the everlasting covenant.  (Isaiah 58:12-14; 24:5)

One more to ponder upon………
We keep the 7th day Shabbath because we love Messiah.  John 14:15,21,24  “If ye love me, keep my commandments.  He that hath my commandments, and keeps them, he it is that loves me: and he that loves me shall be loved of my Father, and I will love him, and will manifest myself to him.  He that loves me not keeps not my sayings…..”

This is a partial list of why we and others of the same faith keep Shabbath.  What are your reasons for not?
